Brief biography

Maestro Riccardo Leónida began his career as Opera conductor in 2005 at the same time as the creation of the Veneto Philharmonic Orchestra in which he was the Artistic Director and the Conductor until 2019.

​

Previously he received the bachelor' degree in Violin e Music Education at the prestigious "B. Marcello" Conservatory of Music in Venice (Italy) and was immediately active as a violinist, solo violinist, and concert master in various orchestras and chamber ensembles.

​

As well as having professional experiences with other organizations of the same or greater importance Maestro Leónida has always dedicated himself to the artistic and music development of his Orchestra, with which he has mainly dealt with opera and baroque repertoires, operating mainly in Italy and Europe.

 

With the same organization he organized and produced courses and master classes for young musicians and opera singers with the aim of creating activities and opportunities for the training of new generations, collaborating with important artistic institutions such as the "Teatro la Fenice" Foundation in Venice (Italy).

Thanks to his artistic vision and organizational skills, Maestro Leónida has covered the following roles to date:

2000 - 2020

Founder, General and Artistic Director of Mousikè Venice Theatre Company Srls (Venice-Italy), which promotes and organizes throughout Europe, both artistically and technically, musicals, concerts, events, and operas.

 

2016 - 2019

Music Conductor and Artistic Director at Salone Margherita Theater in Rome (Italy).

 

2015 - 2016; 2018-2019

Artistic and Music Director and Opera Conductor of the Opera Season at Teatro Sociale in Mantua (Italy).

2012 - 2020

Founder and General Director of Mousikè Drama Workshop (Venice - Italy), theatrical set and costumes studio forbear productions.

Opera Conductor and Artistic Director at San Teodoro Theater, Rialto Bridge (Venice - Italy).
